Prof Dr. Yuqing Zhang is a Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Cardiology at Fu Wai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China, specializing in hypertension and cardiovascular medicine. Prof Zhang has built a distinguished career in cardiovascular research and clinical practice, holding leadership positions as Vice President and General Secretary of the Chinese Hypertension League and Vice President of the Hypertension Committee of CPAM and the Beijing Hypertension Society. Serving as Chair of the Regional Advisory Board of the Asian Pacific Region of the International Society of Hypertension and as a member of the HOPE-Asia Network, Prof Zhang maintains prominent roles in international cardiovascular governance. His academic credentials include Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology and the International Society of Hypertension, along with membership in the American College of Cardiology and European Society of Hypertension. As Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Hypertension and a member of editorial boards for multiple international hypertension journals, Prof Zhang has significantly contributed to Chinese Hypertension Guidelines spanning 2005-2024 and ESH/ISH consensus documents.
