Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Primary Care Medicine at Universiti Malaya, specializing in family medicine, geriatrics, and lifestyle medicine.
Dr. Fadzilah Hanum Mohd Mydin is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Primary Care Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, specializing in family medicine, geriatrics in primary care, and lifestyle medicine. With over 15 years of experience as a family medicine consultant and academic, she has developed influential training programs and clinical guidelines for elder abuse prevention through the PEACE initiative, while leading digital health innovations including mobile applications for chronic disease management. Her scholarly contributions are substantial, with 23 published journal articles garnering over 174 citations in Web of Science, along with collaborative systematic reviews on measurement instruments for elder abuse conducted in partnership with the World Health Organization. As co-chair of WONCA's Special Interest Group on Violence and an active member of its Ageing group, she contributes to international dialogues on healthy ageing and elder safeguarding. Beyond her research, she supervises postgraduate students pursuing Master's degrees in Family Medicine and Medical Science.
