Dr. David Yong Tat Wei is a cardiology clinical fellow at Institut Jantung Negara with expertise in cardiology, interventional cardiology, preventive cardiology, and critical care cardiology. Holding MBBS with distinction from International Medical University, MRCP (UK), and national specialist registration in internal medicine and cardiology, he is certified as an orbital arthrectomy operator. His career spans over 11 years of progressive medical and cardiology experience, including positions as internal medicine specialist at various Ministry of Health hospitals (2016-2019) and registrar and clinical specialist in cardiology at UMMC (2022-2024), with national specialist registration in cardiology achieved in 2023. He holds certification in multiple advanced interventional techniques including orbital arthrectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, and cutting-edge imaging modalities, and remains active in teaching roles and institutional committee work. His scholarly contributions include multiple publications in high-impact journals such as the European Heart Journal and Journal of the American College of Cardiology, along with over 15 conference presentations at international venues including TCTAP, TCT Boston, ESC Asia, and EuroPCR.
