Emeritus Professor Dr. Chan Siew Pheng is a highly distinguished Consultant Endocrinologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centre and a recognised regional leader in diabetes care and research. She holds the title of Professor Emeritus at the University of Malaya, where she obtained her medical degree, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh). Dr. Chan has extensive expertise in diabetes management and has played a key role in shaping national diabetes practice. She served as Chairperson of the 6th Malaysian Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, contributing to evidence-based diabetes care in Malaysia. Dr. Chan's commitment to advancing medical knowledge is also evident through her active membership in international bodies like the Endocrine Society, USA, and her significant contributions to local organisations such as the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society, Malaysian Osteoporosis Society. Prof. Chan's academic work is widely published, reflecting her deep commitment to evidence-based medicine and regional leadership in metabolic health.
