Prof Dr. Kazuomi Kario is Professor and Chair of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Jichi Medical University School of Medicine in Japan, where he has spent over 30 years leading cardiovascular medicine and hypertension research. An internationally recognized hypertension specialist, Prof Kario founded the HOPE Asia Network in 2018 and has served as principal investigator for major clinical studies including J-HOP, JAMP, COUPLING Japan, and WISDOM-Night. His prolific research output includes more than 1,000 academic papers with over 100,000 Google Scholar citations. At the leadership level, Prof Kario is President of the Japanese Society of Hypertension, Editor-in-Chief of Hypertension Research, and Secretary General of the International Society of Hypertension, in addition to serving on editorial boards of multiple international journals. His h-index of 130 demonstrates significant and sustained impact across the cardiovascular research community.
