Dr. Thum Chan Ho is a Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara in Kuala Lumpur with 19 years of clinical experience spanning emergency medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology fellowship. Holding an MBBS completed in 2006, MRCP (UK), and multiple specialist qualifications including a Masters of Medicine from Singapore, certification as a Specialist in Internal Medicine, the European Exam in Core Cardiology, an EAS Certificate in Lipidology, and a recently completed MSc in Preventive Cardiology, Dr. Thum brings comprehensive expertise and continuous professional development. Currently serving as Director of the Cardiovascular Risk Reduction, Obesity, and Lipid Clinics at IJN, he plays a central role in advancing preventive cardiovascular care. As supervisor for cardiology fellows and active leader in hospital audit, quality improvement, and lean management projects, Dr. Thum contributes significantly to training and institutional advancement. His publications number 14 contributions to cardiology literature on topics including arrhythmia ablation, device therapy, and dyslipidemia management, while he also serves as co-organizer of the MSH Scientific Conference 2026 and maintains active participation in multiple clinical trials and registries.
