Prof Dr. Ji-Guang Wang is Director of the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension and Department of Hypertension at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in Shanghai, China, where he specializes in hypertension and cardiovascular medicine. As Director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Hypertension and associate director of the State Key Laboratory of Medical Genomics, Prof Wang leads distinguished research programs including multiple multicentre randomized clinical trials and population/patient-cohort studies throughout China. His research productivity is exceptional, having published 658 full-length articles on hypertension in international literature and 212 in Chinese literature. Prof Wang has held prominent leadership positions including former Executive Council Member of the International Society of Hypertension, past president of the Asian-Pacific Society of Hypertension and Pulse of Asia Society, and current deputy president of HOPE Asia Network and president of the Chinese Hypertension League. His editorial responsibilities include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Hypertension and Associate Editor of Hypertension Research and multiple other journals, combined with extensive international and national conference activities.
